Our true Prince Charming
“And there before me wad a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but Himself.” Revelation 19:11-12. The true Prince Charming
We girls need to remember not to hold any guy up on the pedestal that only belongs to God. No guy will ever be able to fill the whole that we have in our hearts because it was made for God to fill and nobody else. I do believe that we can find a guy, but we have to make sure that it fits inside God’s plan. The furtherance of the kingdom of God should be our first goal in life and then God can choose to add blessings to our lives or with hold them. It’s up to God not us.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (Colossians 1:17-20)
If God is not the head of everything in your life it will not last. Sometimes even if He is the head it won’t last because it hinders the growth of His kingdom. We need to remember that our lives are no longer our own, but are to be serving each other and allowing the light of Christ shine for those that are in the darkness. Future marriages could be part of that light.
Marriage is here so that we can show the world the type of love that Christ has for the Church. It is not for us, but it benefits us because that’s how much God loves us. He could just make us all get married or all stay single to further His plan and leave us all miserable, but He wants to bless us when we give everything to Him.
“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:1-2)
Back to Christ being our Prince Charming.
Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” Revelation 19:7-9
We are to make ourselves ready for Jesus Christ and in doing this God may show us a man that we are to share this life here on earth with, or He may not. We must be willing to be okay with either one because God’s will is what we live for, not our own. Job’s story shows us God’s complete sovereignty. We must trust Him and allow Him to Bring what He may when He may.
And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 1:21
Trust God and go to Him in prayer and be completely honest with your feelings and thoughts, but be willing to let Him change them and align them to His holy and perfect will.
